“A Note for the Author & Director”

Presumptuous?

I can tell you’re probably thinking that a note asking to be forwarded to the Author and Director is presumptuous.
It may be a little, but please read it and know my intentions come from the heart - the book’s of Paul’s that I’ve read so far are brilliant, but this one was the first and it touched me deeply in my own life.

Comment / Note
I thought the book was a revelation. It’s use of NLP’s “hypnotic language” woven into a simple story was simply brilliant.
Having just started as an author, it has inspired the techniques I’ll use in later books.
I will definitely see the film as soon as possible, and hope that the key messages conveyed in the hypnotic language are treated well by the director and actors and their spacing/rythm in the storyline is maintained during any changes the film-making process requires.

Good Luck with the film.

Have an Amazing Day!

Personally, I think The Alchemist was a great story. I like the way it flowed. Also I can actually see what was going on in the perspective of the characters.

The Alchemist changed me. For a second. But it was in that second I knew what it was I needed to do in this life, and understood my personal legend.

Paolo Coelho did something perfect for the likes of me, those who have difficulty aligning reality with the beauty of the world we want to live in. I love this novel! I just hope that the movie imitates it, bring justice to a masterpiece!

Paulo Coelho is of the best writers. The book is really fantastic & with no hesitation I write this is the best. I learned a lot from this one. This is a rare piece of its kind. I can say that is a ‘DIAMOND’ among stones.

What is wrong with you people.
The book is a total fantasy and nothing to do with real life … crap!

To Seanie: What is wrong with YOU? (Don’t forget your question mark!) The book is classified as FICTION, duh. Just because a piece of work is fictional doesn’t mean that it doesn’t have lessons and/or experiences we can relate to in real life! Maybe you just aren’t deep enough to get this what-you-call “crap.” Use your brain and be more specific if you are going to be so judgmental.
To everyone else: I choose to teach this novel in high school because I love it. AND my students really enjoy it, too. The author Paulo Coelho’s biography is VERY interesting and has some deep influences on his novels. I like him so much, I’m going to read some of his other novels. Any suggestions on which one to start first?

I just wanna say I’ve personally discovered that even though something’s not true, it doesn’t mean that it can’t shed light on the world. There are many things on this planet we don’t know about so don’t dismiss them as unreal and untrue. My personal mottos are: 1.Amazing things happen to those who believe in the unbelievable and 2. ) There’s a possibility and a chance for everything — nothing is impossible. NEVER FORGET THAT!!

I have read my copy three times now. I have highlited passages throughout The Alchemist and return to them for guidence and courage. I wish to find my way as Mr Coehlo has. He could have been an engineer, but he is a writer. He has always been a writer but now it is recognized by him and everyone else but most importantly him.

I have a dream.

I have become a Paulo Coelho fan ever since I read The Alchemist. I just wanna say to Mr.Coelho that all Your books inspire me. I’m never able to know how you get so many different and brilliant ideas.
I’m glad to know that a film is being made on The Alchemist and I wish that it is a huge success. Also, I urge the film makers to make movies on all your works especially The Winner Stands Alone and Veronika Decides to Die.

Bought and read the book today. It’s still echoing in me. I guess I can compare my current state to Santiago before starting his journey, noticing sighs/coincidences, but without knowing that they can lead you to your personal legend, if you pay attentention to them and have the courage to persevere. As they say, when the student is ready, the teacher appears, hopefully, mr. Coelho will turn out to be my teacher.

Personally,I haven’t finished the novel yet. But it had opened my eyes on things I’ve never seen or noticed before.I’m 15 years old and i really dream of meeting an alchemist. I feel much confusion and last night as i was reading i fell asleep, had a weird dream that i can barely remember, and woke up as if i am in a new world, eventhough i was only in my place. I feel confused and vague about everything and i need the help of someone who had understood the story better than the way i did.I never want to transform lead into gold..all i want is knowing my dream, my destiny, and following it ..
